I am an amateur photographer currently living in Sheffield, England. I became interested in photography shortly after purchasing my first camera in April 2004, a Canon Powershot A80. When I first got the camera it served as a great point and shoot capturing great photo's, but as I have gained more experience I have been able to take advantage of its many advanced features.
I enjoy all aspects of photography and will happily attempt to capture any photograph, from portrait work to macro photo's, and especially local landscape and scenery pictures. I also hope to attempt some wildlife photography in the near future.
For me, the purpose of this website is to display galleries of our work to others, as well as to share our experiences. I also hope we can offer tips and advice as we go along to those taking their first steps into the world of photography.
I hope you enjoy viewing all our pictures, and that you will find our experiences and tips both useful and entertaining.

Welcome to our web site I hope you find it useful either as a place to find information and locations to take exciting photographs or even to locate that elusive picture you wanted to place on your dining room wall.
I have had an interest in photography for as long as I can remember, I put my cameras aside during my teenage years and didn't really re-discover my love of the art until I rushed out and bought a Canon Digital Ixus late in 2001 and joined the digital revolution. Not too long after my initial purchase, around 5 months, I craved greater control and better results whilst I was honing my skills as a photographer. I decide to buy the Canon D30 with a 28-135 IS USM lens, this camera body has served me well for a few years and I have been slowly building up the contents of my kit bag. In December 2004 I upgraded to a Canon 20D the build quality does not match the D30 but it makes up for this with its quick responses and great quality images. In 2006 I upgraded again to the 5D keeping the 20D as a backup camera and passing the D30 on to my brother.
The biggest drive for my pursuit into photography has been to travel, explore, and document subjects of interest to myself and present them in an artistic light, be those natural wonders including landscape shots, detail works on waterfalls, rivers, streams or mountains, ancient buildings/monuments or castles.

I started off with photography when I was given my first film SLR camera at the age of thirteen. My Dad, who has been taking photo's since he was young is who inspired me. I am originally from Zimbabwe where my specialty was taking wildlife pictures. There's nothing like the thrill of getting close to an abundant array of wildlife, capturing the moment, and sharing it with others. Now living in Sheffield, I will be scouring the open land of the United Kingdom in search of historic places, scenery and wildlife while going back to Zimbabwe once a year to capture wildlife that cannot be captured in the UK.
I have completely moved to digital as of July 2004, my equipment consists of a canon eos 300D, 18-125mm Sigma wide/general purpose lens, and a 70-300 APO Sigma zoom lens. Throughout the year the equipment will be upgraded and the quality of pictures will better, although any real photographer will tell its not what you have, but how you use it that makes the difference. I hope you enjoy our collection of photo's as much as we have enjoyed taking them.
life is an experience, capture the momment...
