Land Rover Owner Magazines first show of the year returns to Yorkshire again...

This show was held at the Driffield Showground, Driffield, Kelleythorpe , East Riding of Yorkshire. On the 14 & 15 May 2005. Visited by us 15 May 2005.

This photograph is of a Land Rover Defender.

Jeepy Thing

We went camera equipment at the ready in hopes of getting some good off roading shots, but made our way past the off road course and headed straight for the showground to see what was going on. The usualy selection of stalls selling all things Land Rover related were jotted around the grounds.
As we didnt manage to get any offroad shots, following are a few I shot in 2004.

Land Rover hill jump

It's pretty hardwork standing in the middle of a quary trying to grab a decent shot and having to avoid getting run over whilst offroad vehicles wiz by.

As we didnt manage to get any offroad shots heres another from 2004.

Land Rover Puddle Shot

I always try and get a good shot of vehicles rushing through water spraying it everywhere (puddle shot as I call it).

Here is another off road shot from 2004.

it's the wrong way!

This is what happens on a larger puddle shot when the driver decides not to co-operate and goes off the route.

Off road Freelander

Back to the 2005 Driffield show, this is the hazardous terrain that we had to navigate over to park.

Where's the Snow

Many Ex army landrover vehicle owners turned out in appropiate dress for the weather.

Right "Where's the snow?"

Ambulance

Walking around the exhibited ex army vehicles was fun, but got a little repetative afer a while.

Left "Ambulance!"

Lunch Time

We took time out to go and eat lunch, a picnic provided by my brother and his family.

Birds of Prey

After lunch we had another walk through the sales area, but found little of interest, then we headed down to the birds of prey display area.

I hope you found this article interesting, as it's a bit different to the places I would normaly do a quick guide to.
